Manon Depuydt on the way to Tokyo
As a company, we are part of a society for which we are also responsible. We attach great importance to consciously contributing to projects in which we believe. We therefore made a conscious decision to give young talent a helping hand. Personal support, where we can make a difference, is what we as a company opt for. We would like to tell you more about our collaboration with passionate West-Flemish talent.
Manon Depuydt
Born in 1997, from De Haan, extremely talented, and with sky-high ambition: Manon Depuydt is a West Flemish runner who specialises in sprinting, with a particular focus on the 100m and 200m. She is also part of the Belgian relay teams for the 4x100m and 4x400m. Already five-time Belgian champion, she spent a summer in which she achieved many personal records as well as a ten-day internship in Tenerife, all of which inspire her to dream of a place in the world's most beautiful event: the Olympic Games in Tokyo. It certainly is not “Mission impossible”. Last year Manon took the 60th position in the world rankings. She only needs to move up four spots before she can be granted the much coveted ticket.
Student in Ghent
Manon is not restricted to the athletics track alone. Besides a very busy sports career, she is currently studying physical therapy at the University of Ghent. Her top sports status at the university allows her to spread her tasks out over several years. This makes the combination feasible, but certainly not easy. It takes a lot of organisation and above all commitment to maintain this. We are therefore particularly proud to be able to support this versatile talent.
